CISA actively trades, ships and arranges finance for a range of agricultural & energy products including power & gas, petroleum, coal, and carbon emissions. CISA presently employs over 650 people. The nine lawyers and four staff in the Geneva law team are part of Cargills worldwide department of over 200 lawyers.
An opportunity has arisen for an additional, highly motivated lawyer to join the Geneva team. You will advise on issues relating to energy commodities trading. These include advising on the structure and documentation of transactions, handling any disputes, and managing external counsel. The person in this position will quickly be given substantial responsibility for the delivery of legal services to CISA business units.
Ideal applicants will have 4+ years PQE in the UK/USA (or equivalent experience) with strong experience in energy commodities trading including derivatives and associated financial services regulation in the European Economic Area. Experience is also desirable in transportation of goods by sea and English arbitration work. Strong drafting skills are essential. Fluency in other languages is desirable.
