Due to continued business growth and a recent restructure of the legal team, new positions have been created at the group Head Quarters working within the Europe, Middle East, Asia and Africa legal teams.
Commercial Lawyer, 2-8 yrs PQE* - Civil Aerospace
Today, at any one time around 200,000 people are flying in aircraft powered by Rolls-Royce engines. Our ability to keep those aircraft in the sky is a powerful illustration of the ‘mission critical nature of what we do. This position will support the Civil Aerospace sector and Corporate Functions across a broad spectrum of commercial legal issues on a global basis. This will include cross-border contracts, product and service development, sales finance and leasing, major projects work, technology development and exploitation, joint ventures, strategic sourcing and managing dispute resolution.
Applicants will possess a strong grounding in commercial contracts law, whilst prior experience in the aerospace, construction, engineering or defence sectors would be a benefit.
Commercial Lawyer
Commercial/Regulatory Lawyer, 2-8 years PQE* - Marine, Energy, Nuclear and Corporate Support
Rolls Royces Marine, Energy and Nuclear sectors support 17,000 public and private customers in 120 countries spanning a number of industries including ship propulsion/design, integrated systems, standby power, oil and gas extraction and the design of nuclear reactors. Two additional lawyers are sought to support these businesses in addition to several corporate functions on a global basis. For one of these positions there will be a greater involvement in regulatory matters.
Applicants must have strong commercial contracts experience, whilst exposure to marine, energy or nuclear sectors would be advantageous.
Commercial Lawyer, 2-8 yrs PQE* - Civil Aerospace - Defence
The Defence business is the biggest military aero engine manufacturer and service provider in Europe and the second largest worldwide. Rolls Royce engines currently power approximately 25% of the world's military fleet with further growth expected from leading positions on new technology programmes in the USA and Europe.
This position will support the Defence business across a broad spectrum of commercial legal issues on a global basis. This will include cross-border contracts, product and service development, sales finance and leasing, major projects work, technology development and exploitation, joint ventures, strategic sourcing and managing dispute resolution.
Applicants will have a strong private practice grounding in a common law jurisdiction and commercial approach with the ability to communicate across all levels of the business.

Working within a niche team of lawyers who provide legal support to the award winning group treasury team, you will handle a broad spectrum of financing activities including derivatives, bond issues, bank debt raising, M&A, investment schemes, discounting, trade finance, major project work, public sector partnerships and joint ventures.
