In-House Legal and Compliance team working in the education sector seeks an interim lawyer to support the current team of lawyers.

 

The role:

 

  • Assist in advising on a broad range of medium to high risk matters of a legal and/or compliance nature including consumer protection, general contract law, real estate, anti-bribery law;

 

  • Review, draft and negotiate medium to high-risk commercial contracts and other legal documents, providing advice and guidance to the organisation. You willneed to be able to deal with a high volume of contracts at pace and with accuracy;

 

  • Undertake legal research as required to enable the Legal and Compliance Services team to advise key stakeholders;

 

  • Support the work of the Legal and Compliance Services team in communicating with key stakeholders to keep them informed of relevant legal and compliance matters, and of applicable regulations and procedures;

 

  • Prepare and submit reports to internal and external stakeholders, as required.

 

 

Key Requirements:

 

PQE NQ-5 years*, a sound understanding of commercial contract law and excellent drafting skills. You will be a team player able to work independently with a personable manner and proactive approach.

 

The position will be initially for 3 – 6 months but may be extended.

 

Flexible working or part-time working will be considered.
