Exciting opportunity to be the UK lead lawyer for a high-tech manufacturing company.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Working as part of an international team of lawyers as the lead lawyer for the UK
  • Supporting all legal aspects of projects from Invitation to Tender up to end of warranty including:
    • pre-bid and bids documentation (ITT, RFQ, RFP, memorandum of understanding), identifying issues, advice on bid strategy, risk analysis and mitigation strategy
  • Reviewing, drafting and negotiating customer, partner and supplier contracts, teaming agreements, sub supplier agreements, parent guarantees and bonds
  • Overseeing disputes and claims
  • Advice in regard to corporate affairs and legal entities in the UK
  • Management of other legal advice including real estate, health & safety, R&D, technology transfer
  • Training to staff on legal areas such as corporate law, anti-trust, anti-corruption
  • Manage external legal advice

 

We are looking for:

 

  • UK qualified lawyer with a minimum of 3 years’ experience*
  • Trained with a well-regarded law firm
  • Experience in commercial contract law
  • Competition law knowledge also a benefit
  • Must have experience drafting, negotiating and advising on complex contracts preferably within the manufacturing, engineering or similar sector
  • Additional European language would be a benefit
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills
  • Able to work autonomously whilst part of a larger team
